Overview
Firstlook is a live feed of every token launched on pons, the launchpad on Robinhood Chain. For each launch it shows who launched it and how, a score out of seven, and the buys and sells on its bonding curve so far. Everything is read from the chain by your browser; there is no Firstlook server in between.
Where the data comes from
- Launches: the
LAUNCHEDevents of the pons factory0x7eD5…EC7e, which give the token, its curve and its creator. - Launch details: each launch transaction is decoded. Launches through the pons router (
launchAndBuy) or the factory (launchToken) carry the name, symbol, image, description, links, creator tax and the creator's first buy. Launches made through other contracts show only the name and symbol, read from the token. - Trades: every
BuyandSellevent on the curves in the window, giving buys, sells, distinct buyers and ETH in and out.
The feed covers the last hour of launches, about 75 of them, and refreshes every 15 seconds by reading only the new blocks. Robinhood Chain makes close to 10 blocks a second.
The score
The score counts how many of seven signals a launch has. The signals come from our study of 1,797 pons launches over 24 hours, in which a group of 44 wallets bought into at least 2% of all launches and made 28% of all buys. The share of launches those wallets bought into:
| Launched through the pons router | 66% vs 29% through the factory |
| Creator's first buy of 0.02 ETH or more | 77% vs 32% with no first buy |
| X link set | 63% vs 37% without |
| Website set | counted as one signal |
| Description written | 62% vs 47% without |
| Creator tax 3% or lower | 55 to 70% vs about 40% above 3% |
| Creator's only launch in the window | 62% for one a day vs 24% for six or more |
A high score means a launch looks like the ones those wallets picked. It says nothing about whether the token will hold value; most launches still go to zero.
Buying
The buy box quotes the curve with a simulated buy(ethIn, 0, you), then sends buy(ethIn, minOut, you) from your wallet with the minimum set from that quote and your slippage (10, 15 or 30%). Curves priced in USDG and graduated tokens are flagged instead of quoted. Firstlook takes no fee; the pons fee and the creator's tax apply as on pons itself.
Risks
- New pons tokens are extremely risky. Creators can sell, bots can dump, and liquidity is thin.
- The public RPC sometimes rate-limits; the feed retries and catches up from the last block it read.
Token
The Firstlook token launches on pons. Its address will be listed here and on the home page.
